Actually I'm currently seperated geographically from my tools. I took a rather long break not from the foundry, but rather from the computer. I come to believe that people where less then willing to listen to my advice, so I simply stopped sharing

yes, it worked out, I had to make the piece joining the rocket and the base larger, it was mostly a tear, caused by the two pieces shrinking away from each other

Your riser is not close enough to the part it's also not tall enough, The shrinkage in the riser clearly drops below the top of the casting, so you are not getting complete feeding. if you have no more metal capacity, shortening the gate will help alot, you might get away with losing the sprue, and ...

Calcium hypochlorite should be all you need. and if memory serves, that is exactly what the old blue pucks where. you can order it in a granular form, from any chemical supply house, probably requires ground shipping since it is corrosive. Well I gave it a serious try, and just cannot make enough money casting to make ends meet. the problem was not in the casting or patternmaking side of the house, but in getting items in the hands of potential customers, I suppose Marketing killed me in the end.
