Re: My Hand Planes

Really, Im going stir crazy since I was so close to finishing up a bunch of projects, and now I cant work on any of it since I cant get grinding dust and junk in the cuts. Re: My Hand Planes
As soon as the chisels were done and shellac was dry, i was wanting to play with them and just holding onto a piece of wood (first bad idea) to see how they worked in pine, and they worked great, but I was getting ready for bed and was tired, (yep, you see where this is going) and the chisel I was u...

Re: My Hand Planes

Re: My Hand Planes
I then took some 3/16" steel rod and cut the sizes I needed for the rivets and started to peen the rivets down into the countersunk holes to fill them up, then any excess would be peened over to make sure the holes were completely filled in and the double sided countersunk rivets made it so the...

Re: My Hand Planes
Well, as usual, Ive been working on my hand planes again, lol. I was woking on a set of planes called side rabbet planes, which go down into a slot and lets you take a few thou shaving off of the side of the slot to open it up little by little and make it wider till you get the fit that you want. Iv...

Re: It's Eclipse Day Finally
Yea, we got hit with it also, and we were just a hair too much south I think because it was just a sliver, but I wasnt really paying too much attention to it. Im with jammer, Ive heard about it nonstop from everyone for the last few weeks that I was just ready for it to be done and over with before ...

Re: Registration Closed again
I dont think the people are posting from ukrane, I think they're from russia really, but using proxy servers to make them appear as if they're in ukrane, you can tell that by the .ru links that they've been spamming. Ive done the same before when I was trying to get into a site that was only accessa...

Re: Skillets to cook in
We have alot of cast iron cookware sold around this area, and Ive never really been that fond of cooking in the one we have tbh, it always seems to burn everything you put in it, so I usually tend to use the normal ones. Ive seen alot of videos where they're forging skillets out of steel sheet metal...
