Re: where is everybody?

I'm still luking, not had much time for casting but have a new setup planned for building over the winter.

(My idea of timescale and how quickly things actually happen is slightly distorted!)

Re: Wildlife

Nothing much venemous in this part of the world (Fortunately) I get the occasional muntjack dear wandering around and grunting (must find out what they taste like) Most entertaining visitor recently was a hamster the size of my thumb that made an epic tour of around 1000 yards from his young owners ...

Re: Thick section casting (CNC Router Drop Plate)

I've just finished some designs for an injection moulding and through flow analysis I have had to incorporate some 'bow' in the final tool to allow for shrink deformation. I can't show the images and files as it commercialy sensitive but I was wondering if this could be a similar alternative by addi...

Re: CNC milling services

Hi Harry, long time no speak. I've a couple of patterns I want to make up and judging the feasability of getting you to cut them for me. Freight may be a killer but timescale is pretty loose. They are around 18" by 14" and 2" deep. If I sent you over a file could you comment? I can do...

Re: Growing a pattern with paint

Don't know about in the US but motor factors in the UK carry it in spray cans. Usually a yellow high build and works very well on loosing body re-work marks. It has a very matte texture when dry so will need some sanding and build up with a gloss after.
