Re: The Home Foundry

I like how banks pick what is spam and what looks legit. Usually get it wrong. It would be nice if they to us they weren't paying it so we could decide. I guess we're too stupid to know what we are doing. It used to be so simple, get a bill, write a check, everything good. Too slow and too many croo...

Re: cataracts

Good to hear Richard. Must have been scary to do yours after your wife had trouble. How is everything going otherwise. Still writing your book, and how's your wife doing? Great to hear from you.

Re: Down on the Farm Iron Pour

Yes, kind of far. We want to go to South Carolina to see our new grandson. Not sure we can even do that. Maybe later in the year. or at least before he graduates college.
I was looking at that Iron pour and 2022 did some nice stuff. 2023 was kind of amateur looking.

We've managed to meet up a few times. At Soule' Steam works and a couple time at Algonquin.

Ohio Collectors Engines

Here are just a few engines that this serious collector has accumulated over the years. Mostly gas and diesel engines with some Steam engines tossed in every once and a while. I you want to see them, be prepared to stay all day. He loves to start almost every one up to show how it runs. He gets upse...

Re: Welcome to FoundDreaming

I have added a new forum. Steam And Gas Engines, for any engine builders or restorers. Lots of Hit and miss engines around and full size Steam or miniature Steam engines. This can be used for about anything. Future projects, cool engines you've come across or plans for an engine you plan to build. P...

Re: My Hand Planes

Wow, I get over to Millersburg a few times a year but I never knew that place was there. There's someone in Ottawa Ohio that has, what looks like about 100+ anvils plus vises and forges. Not sure what his prices are. Anvils seem to have gone from $3 to $10 a pound plus.

Re: Patterns for Baker Ball Hopper Monitor

That was a shock to me. I thought great, I can work outside from March to November, nope... I could only work outside in March and November. The winter was rain and the first of April was 95 degrees and only got hotter. I have to admit Soule' in Mississippi was a little more unbearable.
