Re: Hi I'm Harry

No doubt, for perspective the average lifespan of a Pyrenees is 10 to 12 years. Imagine how time feels to her and think about how fortunate we really are.

Re: Hi I'm Harry

How we change with the years. Mostly not for the good. :-)

Húg (hoog) had her 6 month vet visit today. She is 60lbs and vet guesses she will be over 100. Clean bill of health and just the friendliest dog needing everyone to love on her.

Re: Cornish Cross Chickens

Crazy on the dog only going for the Pheasant. I would like to raise game birds, some day I may have a place for them. We are the types to provide more than adequate for our animals so structures can get expensive. I paid about 4 grand for materials for the chicken coop, lol.... thats a lot of eggs a...

Re: Beginning 2023

Local Tru-Value is supposed to be getting a delivery of plants tomorrow so you know where I will be. I like buying from them because they offer a lot of 6 pack, most of the other stores want to sell individual plants in the 4" cups for the same price. I put out so many plants I cant afford that...

The Turkeys look almost identical but their personality even as day olds is far different. When you reach in the Chickens scatter but the Turkeys come running to you.

Re: Cornish Cross Chickens

Chickens have been very active and staying warm enough in their first night here. Some losses but thats inevitable. We do our best and leave the rest to fate.

Re: Cornish Cross Chickens

This is a 10x12 coop, there is another at the other end of this building thats 40' long and a 10x16 room in the middle. There is another coop on the other side of the runs that opens into the middle run. The outdoor runs for each coop is 24' long with a compost bin in each that I try and keep filled...

Re: Cornish Cross Chickens

Look around Jerry, those prices are crazy. I think we paid around $3 for the Rock Cross chicks. Now the Turkey chicks were $15 but they are always high.

Hatching eggs is a good way to go too as long as shipping isnt involved, have had poor luck with shipped eggs.
