Yes it can be cast in Alli! I have an old concrete breaker that has an alli tank that has been cast. It looks like the core was held from the lid and the furl tap. I have also made a cast fuel tank for my hit and miss engine. I painted the Tank black because silver looked wrong! http://i22.photobuck...

If you do that you wont be able to reuse the sand, it will be a one time use. If you wanted to do that you would be better to do an investment casting! ( I cant help with that )

I can do that! 525g Sand (clean) 18g Flour 10g Wallpaper past 12ml Linseed oil Method: Mix up the wallpaper past to make a thick past then set aside. Do you plan on having another go at casting it? It is interesting that it was the bottom thet didn't fill. Cores normaly float! So that would mean that it must have set been like that before the mould was closed. Or the core print was not cut into the cope enough and it pressed the core into the dra...
