Homesick for my foundry

Post by Rasper »

I'm here in California for a few more weeks before returning to Mexico. I have a great metal working shop here and love the work I do in it, but I find myself itching to get back to my foundry. This metal casting is a grave disease; once it gets in your blood, it won't let go. Maybe we need a chapter of Metalcasters Anonymous?

I've been a 30 plus year member of that club... god help my soul. Been a member since 1981 from my first cast in bronze. I've spent a small fortune in equipment and materials build'n my first foundry and the most recent shop/foundry/studio i've been building on since 2008. If I can't cast I'll loose my sanity and ultimatly lay down and give up on life.
