I thought the Tsuba alloy had silver in it?
Re: New Electric Furnace
It all types, some are pure copper or and alloy with tin or sliver or gold and any combo, I'm broke so no silver or gold. Might be OK if silver was still $4 an ounce.

OK- is the water cast just pouring it into a bucket and letting the billet cool?
Re: New Electric Furnace
You pour it through about an inch of water onto a piece of canvas stretched over a frame like a drum head.

I feel cheated on...Jammer wrote:No, I mean, of course I was thinking of you.
I thought about just taking a hacksaw to them, or a band saw with the proper blade of course. The shavings could be somewhat easily gathered and thrown in the pot as well.
Either way Jammer, if you need anything just ask....
