Sorta-a-Cupola

Post by GypsyTinker »

Basically have some extruded stuff that I need to melt down. Gonna mark all the ingots with an "E"

Took a water heater tank and cut both ends off, flipped one over and hinged it. Put a grate and suspended the whole contraption.

NO refractory or any of that fancy stuff that makes it last. It's a heat tube!

I'll put my turkey fryer under it to keep the metal molten in the bottom, then pour off ingots.

Well that is certainly different, looks like it will take down scrap quick though.
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints the sinners are much more fun...

Yeah, I like just trying something... especially if I haven't seen it before, but I think it can work.

It sure ate through some lawn chairs. I got a 30' sailboat mast I will be melting down.

I love that it just runs on scrap wood. Gonna put my old desk in it and melt my old chairs :-D
