i was surfing evil bay for a peristaltic pump that was in my price range and came up short and realized i have a suntec oil pump from a Beckett burner. i was wondering if i ran the rps low on this pump can i get similar results to a peristaltic. or will this damage the pump. also if any one can point me in the direction of a peristaltic pump to be had at or under 100 bucks i would thank you profusely. also i have purchased a Thomas pump and await its arrival.

Hi AC, I would think that with gearing you should be able to get the rpm down to what you want with any pump and not hurt the motor. I like the peristaltic pump I found and got a good deal on it, probably just keep eye balling eBay is the best bet for one.

There are lots of other kinds of pumps though, FMI makes some metering pumps and I use one of those on my cnc for metering cutting fluid for a mist system.
