If you cast red metal

Post by Rasper »

You must buy this book.

Casting Brass by C W Ammen

I recommended it on here four or five years ago and enough people bought it that the price of used copies went to over 200 dollars. Now it appears to be available again, Maybe it's back in print. Amazon lists it for 12.45.

This is the bible for anyone who casts red metal. It contains information I have never seen anywhere. Ammen ran brass foundries for years. He knows what he is writing about. If you cast red metal, do yourself a favor: get this book and read every word of it.
