Hello, I'm Alex. I've posted a bit on the BYMC forums, but never really gave myself an Introduction. I got into metal casting, because I do a bit of special fx work as my other main hobby, and quite often stumble into situations where I need to make a part that would be perfect in metal, but because of lack of equipment have to resort to plastics. Even though I'm not too knowledgeable in foundry work quite yet I work quite a bit in plastic and silicone, which I'm hoping could help me with pattern making. In the past few months i've been sourcing materials for my furnace build and am currently well on my way to finishing it. I should have pictures up in the next month or so when I'm finished.

Welcome Alex!
I too am working on my first furnace. I hope to get it done sooner than later. Isn't that always the case?
