Like the automobile example above, I have watched motorcycles morf from somthing that I considered very attractive when motors were added to bicycles, to some beautiful British bikes, and then to some Japanese copies of British bikes, and finally to the highly refined but outer space looking motorcross and street bikes we have today.
My motocross bike (CR500) is an incredible work of engineering, and a joy to ride, not to mention very competitive against pretty much any other motocross bike.
But from a looks standpoint, I sure do miss the old Nortons and such.
Seems like everything is a tradeoff these days, and looks get traded off first generally.
