It is good to have another caster here. We don't have a lot of members. The ones who come here and stay tend to be active metal casters rather than dabblers.

The good thing you will find about metal casters in general is that they are a generous helpful bunch. I forget how generous they are sometimes until i go to one of the computer forums to solve a problem and run across some of those snarky little teen age nerds.

I could not be where I'm am today without the help of the members here :) , they are a good practical bunch, more into just getting things done with out having the prettiest bits of equipment to make the best castings that we can, if the equipment works its good, who cares if it don't win the beauty contest :D

Much of what's taught and practiced here is old school, time proven successful. It ain't rocket science, but it sure takes time to learn and practice to be anywhere near proficient at it. If you're serious enough to learn, decide what it is you want and intend to do and we'll shoulder together to help you understand and know what it is that's involved to do it. And once that's accomplished, we'll help you understand and know what it takes to refine what it is you did so you can improve thereon upon anything you do with regard to casting metal. Hope you stick around. :-) Can't learn nuth'n unless you do someth'n.
