Looks great. What are your plans for filetting the corners? Bondo? Wax?

If this turns out, it could be a pretty cool kit. Good luck, and keep us posted

I have had good luck with fillets using 5 min epoxy, most of the fillets are there from the turning and drafted at 2'. Once I attach the flange part it will go back in the lathe and be turned down for a 1' draft on the lower part of the flange and 2' on the upper then a fillet will be added to the bottom of the flange. Still waiting on my dang end mill so I can make up the core for the opening at the packing gland. Darn holidays.

I like wax its easier to work with to me than bondo and doesn't make the mess bondo does, you need a certain size tool grab a ball bearing if you have one the right size silver solder it to a piece od tubing.

For what its worth, Ive had some success using Durhams Rock-Hard Water Putty - not as messy or smelly as bondo, and sets up faster - just mix with water to the desired consistency, and go

Hmmm, that sounds like its worth a try. Ive been looking for a "simple" filler. Is it sandable?

Durams is sandable but as its name implies it does get hard. As a bonus it is cheap.
