They are professionally made patterns, I brought them on Ebay from a retired foundry man that was making products for the hobby machinist, I told him that I do hobby casting and he was sorta haveing a laugh at the hobby casters in general out there, he had no time or patient for them

he must of had time for them if he was making and selling patterns to the hobby crowd.

Those are some nice looking patterns, be nice to live close enough to help you do the casting of them. The angle plates look like they will take a big pot full of metal to fill up.
That would be cool to have help from someone that knows whats happening Dave

Made a few modifications on the sump extension, just a short video, apologizes for not explaining it all to well as I'm not to great at being in the movies ;) Patterns were cut on a CNC and they are made out of Kwila, the same timber that I sent over to Dave. all the patterns were made larger then needed but will be machined back to size after casting

good looking castings, do you get many calls for this cover and sump?

Fins on the sump look really good, you may want to add a little height to that round spot in the middle of the cover so you can machine it off without hitting the fins and to take care of any shrinkage that may occur. Just a thought.
