If it would drop a buffalo it will probably work on a reindeer.

received word by email that the patterns should be shipped in the next day or two, He's thowing a few more then just the one that he made for me, so looks like I will get to have some fun in the backyard (damn I wish I could type without all the mistakes that I have to correct)

Anyway the first round will be in aluminum, I know that there will be two different slotter patterns the one I designed for my lathe and one that is off the original file that was sent to me.

There is also two patterns for a Boley Machinist vise which I hope to do it cast iron eventually.

Anyway once the box gets here I will post up some photos, then it will be out into the back yard to see what kind of entertainment value this box will contain as I try to achieve 100% pours on the first go round. I have enough flask and sand, along with crucible capacity to hopefully ram up three or four molds and do one big pour versus a couple of small ones.

Is it just me or does it look like the 2 large pieces fit together but one is backwards?

no they fit together so that one has a gusset on the end opposite the other side, this is so that bolt holes can be put into two opposing corners to bolt it to the compound of the lathe.

Basically there isn't anyway to put the two bolt holes in line with one another down the center line.

Nope its just something the guy that printed the parts throwed in. He did ask if I wanted batman on one side of the pattern though

gotta go to town tomorrow an get some sandpaper so I can smooth out the print lines
