I am doing OK for a man who is getting older by the day. I lack the energy I grew accustomed to. I suspect it is not coming back. I have several sculpture pieces in clay that I need to make moulds of and cast in bronze but I have been to lazy to do it.

Where are the young metal casters? I suspect the young men spent their growing up years in front of a TV or computer screen and don't have the skills necessary to do shop work. Are we a dying breed?

I cut some stuff on the CNC and got some work area set up in the basement. Then had a small flood, no damage just wet. Sump pump got stuck and let about an inch creep up.

Went to an auction today and was a bad boy. Like I need more junk.

cae2100, still playing with my toys and like everyone else waiting on it to warm up. I need to get back to work on my 3d printer while I wait on some parts for a different project to get here. plus need to get off my butt and finish the Sharps that I have about 3/4's of the way done.

Rasper, its all downhill from here.

Jammer you didn't have to spend money on junk if I had of known that you wanted some I could of just sent you some of what I have, and you could of saved your money for something else.

heres one for the crucible, I have learned that for any good part that I machine, I have to sacrifice at least one of the same part/parts to the machine gods to keep them appeased.

ouch, that sucks. Thats a good reason why I hate using collets for holding endmills, I usually have a dedicated holder with a weldon flat based holding system, then I dont have to worry about it slipping out then. Some of the cuts I do on my mill, it would just pull it out of a collet no problem at all, but my machine has the rigidity to do the cuts without any chatter or any problems.

Jammer, if you wanted some junk, we have tons of it here too, and Im much closer, lol. My father went to the auction a while back and my mom didnt go with him for once and more or less gave him a blank check on accident, it didnt turn out well. Now we cant do anything in the garage and the sand muller is buried in there in the piles of junk, hence why it's still not finished... The sand muller is the one with the big angle iron sitting on the top of it clear in the back that you cant really find anymore, lol.
