Two coffee cup coasters using polymer patterns, the one on the left is silicon bronze the other is aluminum, I actually prefer the aluminum one, mainly because it was so much easier to finish

McDermott is paying for these right, they look top quality worth a few bucks apiece each to lay on the boardroom table to keep those sweaty beverage glasses from messing up the polish.


Nice Job Mike, I like both of them, a good wide belt sander would make quick work of the finishing you painting/powder coaring them first before the sanding.

Those look great Mike, I should have made the lettering bigger and picture smaller like that. I was just having so much trouble with the letters.
I wish I could find some of that 2mm photopolymer, everything I find is 1mm, maybe they are making their own plates.

Thanks Dave...At the moment I'm receiving no fee, but I'm hoping that changes All I'm doing is bead blasting which leaves a darker background, I then sand then I clear coat when the raised areas are nice and smooth

Thanks Dave, but the quality of the patterns from foundry joe does have a lot to do with it. Being a polymer pattern you don't ram anywhere near as hard, and over time I believe I have a pretty good Technique that's working with the polymer patterns

you still need to be consistent with your sand also, nice work anyway you look at it.
