Large grains, help in a better degassing casting

Working on the lathe.

And here is ready, together with the 88mm piston.

Very nice Seba, looking at the pictures I was thinking what is this and man that is a thick casting and when I saw the ones after the lathe work it all came together. Does the cylinder take a liner?

looks like a press fit steel liner...

I guess those 4 bold holes hold the head on, I imagine they are connected to the steel?? o.O

Backside of the fins flat to make way for push rods?

Here, the engine 350ccm

This on top will be 500ccm .
In the American style, no power, so we put a large pistons
