This is awful, everything is still in boxes and we're in contract on a home west of Chattanooga. Hopefully we can close and move again before the end of the month. Close to the Tenn. river and Nick-a-Jack lake, far enough from Chatt. to be comfortable. South Pittsburg is the nearest town, it's supposed to be an old Iron smelting area, I'll have to do some checking. Home to Lodge Cast Iron Cookware.
Hope everyone had a great Holiday season, we didn't do much, just tried to stay warm.
I'm very limited on internet use, so I get on when I can. Be safe, Happy New Year.
Hi Jammer and a happy new year to you also. I just check on Google earth and it looks like a nice area, you won't know yourself once you've moved and settled in

Sorry to hear about your frustrations in the move. Gawd, I empathize with ya on that note. Hope things turn around for you toot sweet and all in your favor. Missed ya on here. You were like an anchor to this place. I've tried to fill the void a few times, when I'm able, when work hasn't got me going ballz to the walls... will be nice when you're re-settled and back among us again. Best to you and your family in the coming months ahead.
Arrrgghh, I just typed a very long post and lost it.
Let's just say, we are moved and are settling in. Have to build a garage and get my stuff out of storage. We are on top of the mountain just north of South Pittsburg, Tennessee. A few miles from the Tennessee River and about 15 miles to Nickajack Lake. Lots of fishing and boating.

Good to hear Jammer, sure looks like a nice place to live

Yuk... no mountains, no snow capped peaks... I'd be homesick in a week. Best of luck to you, Jammer. Come back to us when you can. Prayers and blessings to you and your family.

Oh wow that sure looks like fun Frank. All I have to contend with at the moment is my back yard continuity under about 4 inches water, almost snow but in its liquid form rains starting to effin piss me off, but it is the monsoonal season so I'll just have to wait it out before I can get anything done

That's the trouble we are having here, rain, rain, rain... One day of sun and the sixties and then a week of rain and the forties. Our house has, what supposed to be, a stone covered walk. Instead it's a little stream right to the front door.
FC, everyone call these mountains around here and will correct you if you say a hill. I don't think they have ever seen a real mountain. It's just right for me, I climb a whole 1000 feet up from the river and I'm pretty close to the peak of our "mountain".
