I still have all the wires attached which limits movement, I have an appointment at the hospital this coming Thursday, they'll xray my hand and I guess they'll decide then if they will do a bone graft on my thumb, I hope they remove the wires at the back of my had so I can start getting Physio and get more movement.... i'm going stir crazy at the moment, I'm not allowed to drive so stuck at home but I'll just have to sit it out for the time being

lol, I know what you mean by stir crazy stuck not being able to do much. It's like a whole other version of hell that they dont tell you about. All I can tell you is to find something that interests you on youtube and kill many many hours on that just learning, lol. I typically just watch machining channels mixed with a few casting channels. That or I doodle stuff up in CAD, just laying out plans for things that I think up just saving up ideas and such for when im able to go tinker again.

Hi cae, its so damn hot here at the moment I do spend a lot of time inside with the AC on, I get up walk through my shed trying to find something that I know I put in the garbage bin just to occupy my mind . just down the road is a shopping centre and I keep asking the wife if she needs anything just so I can do something different..It will all come good with time

Sounds promising Mike. If they take the wires out, you'll be able to do a lot more rehab.

Imagine how I felt after my accident. Took nearly a full year to recoup my ability to get about. Months of feeling handicapped. Had it not been for a long winter of a daily dose of shoveling snow (bits at a time, gradually taking all day to shovel off a small entrance patio) I'd have not gained the strength to mount an ATV w/plow to make quicker work of it AND do the driveways each day. By end of winter I was also force'n myself to do military pushups and situps till I reached a level of 30 2-count situps and 30 2-count pushups twice a day. Just gotta get MAD, Mike... be damned about the setback and fight to get back what ya lost. Just DO IT!! Start out small, then go for more after two days, and hold that for a couple days then add another repetition to the set. Eventually you'll be back to standard with nothing but a battle wound to remind ya of the effort. GET'ER DONE!!
