Got to agree with David on this one. For casting and the associated equipment the important thing is just being able to cover it up for rain. That could be as simple as a tarp or a small lean to shed. Having said that I know first hand what a pain it can be especially if you cast a lot in getting things out and putting them away but it all boils down to how much drive there is to make something.
Hope things improve for you Morgan.

Re: where is everybody?
My lack of casting and most of my maker hobbies are on ice right now because of the land use restrictions of where I'm living right now....It's not my property and I'm not currently allowed to do that sort of work here. I've been focusing instead on rehabilitating and customizing all of my tools and equipment to better serve my needs, one by one, so that when I do move to a better location, my shop will be a little less brokedick and mis-matched looking. I'm not saying it's gonna look like a mercedes benz service shop, but it'll look a little less like I was dumpster diving behind harbor freight.

Hey Nudge is that ship still sitting up on the rock, have the removed any of the containers yet.
My son-law is the operation manager of the helicopter company that was employed to carry the salvage gear to remove the oil out to the ship at the start, and he spent over a week over that directing their helicopter operations

I think they have removed about 50 of them. The problem is we have had strong winds and seas over the past few months. They say it could take up to a year to get all of the containers off.

I think is has already split in two and the more that is removed the worse it will get. the bow of the ship is well stuck but the stern is still floating ( at the moment)
