Pike's Peak, that's one hell of a two step alright! I love the dirt, watching that video, it sort of breaks my heart that it's all paved now. Anyways, here's a clip from this year's run, it's what can happen when you miss a step.

Yes, there were two people in the car, the driver was unhurt, the co-driver had a dislocated shoulder. Two or three days after that, I saw them interviewed on CNN, if you're interested, you can see part of the interview

stage rallying mainly minis escorts mantas tr8 pity much any thing on wheels never got to play with the modern 4wd stuff with the electronic diffs it left me behind when sorting the handling required a laptop cant get on with historic use what you are told and pay a fortune for it , not what you can scrounge adapt and develop foryou self that is half the fun . I was watching some historic s on telly over Christmas it made me think of getting my old sunbeam out on the local hill clime but then i remembered it would take a month to recover may be one day lots of pain killers and go kick some arse
Ian
sunbeam lightened on spaceframe/cage 800kg vauxhall redtop 260bhp 8850rpm 50/50 weight split getrag direct top built to do 130mph in the trees on gravel not bad on tarmac ether (unfinished business )
