I have one of those lens that was given to me, I have serious doubts about it melting anything other then maybe lead.

It's OK if you want to melt an ounce of metal at a time. I don't think you could get anything insulated well enough to melt much more.

Hey Latz, I'm still thinking about your drum bodies. I hope to get set up for some larger bronze pours. I thought I be set by now but I've had a couple set backs.
Have you got the lathe running yet?

I do not have the lathe running. Life has gotten in the way, unfortunately. Working 6 nights a week, no less than 60 hrs a week doesn't leave much ambition. Now we are talking about moving in a year or 2, so i wonder if it'd be worth it. I've also had to help take care of mom & dad's place as he is no longer capable.

I haven't forgotten about it, thiings are just on the back burner 'til my sugar momma graduates....

I just saw someone on a different sight asking someone to cast 20 drum bodies out of Brass. Kind of made me chuckle...
