Mike, in windows explorer I have it set to display thumbnails of the images in a folder. If one is sidewhomps I can right click it and choose rotate clockwise or counterclockwise until it is proper. One positioned correctly opening it in image software or uploading it will retain this orientation.

Also I have a handy program anyone can use if you dont already have something you like. Quick JPEG Image Resize and Crop, its free, lightweight and works really good. Just a real simple program doing what its supposed to do.

Windows explorer for rotating them if you are using windows.

Quick JPEG Image Resize and Crop for optimization and cropping

Wife got a big kick out of the fairy gardens.

I usually use gimp for editing images, it seems to do everything I could want it to do and more.

Yes Gimp is a full featured program for image editing, the one I suggested is dead simple and just crops and resize/optimize images. Its lightweight and you dont even need to install it I believe. I set it as the default for opening images on my computer because it is so fast and does what I usually want to do which is crop out a photo and save it 1/10 the file size as it was off the phone camera.
