All the kids and Grandkids are coming so it will be great! Well my grandson is going to Disneyworld with the High School Band, but we'll get together when he returns.

Our High School makes the trip once every 4 years so each kid has a chance to go in HS. We went with the band a couple of years ago, and then down to the Keys and up through Biltmore and the Smokies. It was a long 2 weeks....

That would be a long trip. I went to the keys years ago and I didn't think I was ever going to get there.
Merry Christmas

I lived in Key West for some years back 25 years ago. It's a long way. 335 miles from Jacksonville to Miami and the another 150 to Key West. It's the motor homes that make the trip from Miami to Key West so bad. I usually left late at night to make that trip. The road was empty then.
I went to college twenty miles from Asheville, but never went to Biltmore. We were more interested in drinking in Asheville and the dirt track races in Weaverville. All the big boys raced there back then: Junior Johnson, Fireball Roberts, Lee Petty, Cotton Owens, etc. They'd race on the week-ends and were still running moonshine liquor out of the hills into Asheville during the week. Revenuers used to stop us sometimes looking for moonshine. They didn't look too hard when they saw we were just a bunch of drunk college kids.
