Moms Xmas present...

Post by latzanimal »

Long story somewhat short....

When my parents married, they were broke. First Xmas tree was decorated with tp rolls, etc. Second year, my dad takes mom up to Chicago to Christmas shop on Michigan Ave. They buy a beautiful star made in Italy. Some 20 years later all of the lights burn out. Nobody can find replacements, even my cousin who worked in Amsterdam for 3 years. Mom, however, kept the star because she loved it.

Four years ago when my dad passed, I snuck the star home and rewired it with LEDs and gave it to mom for Xmas.

This year I made a box to store the star in since the original cardboard box is 54 years old....

Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas...

Great Job Latz, Hope your Mom is happy. My mom would freak out if I was going to fix something. She was usually was happy in the end.
