Thanks for the pm reply Jerry, I'll look forward to see what you come up with. My Daughter and Son in-law both work for the helicopter company, and when my Daughter was diagnosed with possible MS the owner went way beyond what any normal boss would do for an employee to look after my Daughter. He gave them a house to live in, with pool in which is about 50 meters from the office rent free, just in case my Daughter has another MS episode and her husband will be close and handy, or if he's not there there will be someone will be close to say pick kids from school and what have you. There is not much that I can do to say thank you the the owner, but I think some coffee cup coasters cast in bronze with his company emblem, would be one way for saying thank you for what he has done

While your playing with the CNC, could you also do two 100mm round coasters with the tardis on them like you did with the deer head

Thanks Jerry

We'll since I've been having computer problems I decided to update my CNC machine. I took off the loud router spindle and put on a 48 VDC spindle I got off line. I've got a power supply for it but I need to work on it as well. I was able to run the motor some and it is very quiet. :)
I also moved some of the bearings around on the Y axis and was able to get an additional 3" of travel. Now I can cut 13.5 X 15 inches.

sounds good, I've got to invest in a spindle motor before too long.

I'm a little disappointed in the performance of the new spindle motor so far. I have to work on the power supply some more. DC voltage has always baffled me for some reason, unless I can just hook up to a car battery. These power supplies with trransformers, capacitors and circuit boards just mess with me.
