Some of my forge work

Post by Jammer »

I've been going to a local forge to beat on some metal. I can't do very much but have been able to finish a couple things. Just good to get out of the house. 8-)

The forge is at the railroad museum repair shop and turntable. We have 55 gal barrels full of spikes, rail plates, clips, but not much rail. I wish I could get a chunk to hammer on at home.
I haven't tried a basket weave yet. Just some twists. I'm going to try a rams head for my nephew and maybe a sculpture combo with forging and casting used together.
