I was lucky to get the 8020 at the surplus store for $1 / pound. I gave my leftover to Oof. I'm trying to find a surplus place here in Tenn. I guess I'll have to stop up there when I go to Ohio. I'll probably have to sneak off when the wife's not looking!! ;)

wish there was a surplus place like that here, may have to start trying to snag some of the gov auctions on med equipment. but most of that goes to big buyers with lots of cash.

didn't have one so with nothing else to do today besides work very hard to restrain myself from throwing this F##$%King computer in the trash (it crashed big time) I decided to make myself a Chamfer Cutter for the mill.

brazed on Carbide still needs to be sharpened.

That may be the best thing. Copy your data files that you need and start over.

Get a virus protection program. I use Vipre. Probably the best protection is a router. A router doesn't allow anything into your computer that you don't ask for. Of course that's the problem—people click on things that . . . well . . . things they shouldn't click on.

If you ever want to buy a computer, look at this place. http://www.erpcsales.com They lease computers to big businesses for a few years. Then they sell them. I have bought maybe ten computers from them over the past fifteen years. The one I am using right now cost 75 dollars. Pentium 4, 2 gigs ram, DVD recorder. Windows XP Pro installed. That's all I need.
