So this morning seeing as how it was raining I broke out the mag visor and proceded to swap parts around and I now have a running 100+ year old watch movement to put in a case when I find one.

I took a photo and video but haven't gotten them off the camera yet.

I used to think the same thing, but with the help of a magnifying visor things got big enough that I could see them while holding them in tweesers.

like these two pins that hold the dial face onto this movement

Thank you sir. This is the only one I have on computer. The rest of the paper photographs are at my shop in California and I haven't been up there in over a year now. I plan to go up this summer. I guess for you I should say this winter.

Table's looking great Dave. I have a couple old English watches somewhere. I thought I could put the 2 together and have a nice watch, but they are different sizes. They are J. B. Tobias key wind. I don't think they are worth near what I paid for them.

sounds like you ran into the same problem that I did with trying to buy old watches to repair one with, you can go thru a lot of watches to find the parts that you need, and with the same number of parts in a watch its hard to find the parts you need.

But I like working on them for some damn reason.

Thanks on the progress on the table I keep plugging away at it but with the usual problems that life brings some times theh work slows down, like I had hoped to get the ball screw I need this month, but instead I get to buy a new pressure tank for well so I can have water.

Would love to see a picture of the watches you have.

edit, not real sure if I mentioned it yet or not, but I was able to get one of the Rock Candy Xbox 360 controllers that WalMart sells working on the router thanks to the help of a friend that looked into the addressing problem I was having. Reason for using a game controller is that they are KID tough, and will last decades longer then one of the Chinese pendants.

looks can be deceiving, the serial number puts it at around 1920, it probably no telling which car it would of been put into, the other 8 day clock I have came out of a 1920's Cadillac.

I'm hoping that between the two I can got one of them working, I need one of the winding pinon's to fi the first one.

ordered a new driver to replace the one that I keep having problems with, from the research that I did on evil bay this driver isn't loaded with surface mount componetes which will make it easy to repair if it blows cap or something.

Haven't figured out what is wrong with the one I am having problems with, one day it works the next it won't, some times you turn the computer off and back on it will work.

Anyway I found one for couple of bucks more then ordering one from china in Tenns so I will have it first part of next week.
