What's the significance of the double trigger on the Sharp's?
the double trigger is what is known as a set trigger setup, it allows you to take a trigger with a normal 6 or 7 pound trigger pull and by pulling the back trigger have a 2 or 3 pound trigger pull or even lighter depending on whos doing the screw turning and who the shooter is.

They still use the same setup today in basically the same configuration of parts in these old guns, new modern triggers not so much as they are adjustable without the extra parts.

been a spell since I put anything in here, been under the weather for the last few days, but think I'm on the mend from having a kidney infection that put me in the ER room at the local VA for New Years Eve.

Still working on the Winchester, just things are slow when most of what you get to do is rub metal down with sand paper. I did do a bit of work on the chamber and block so that a round will slide into the chamber as it should, now just need to final fit the ejector.

What did you decide to go with Dave: .45-90 or .45-100?

I didn't even thin about the ejector, that would be tough for me. I had a 6.5 that sometimes the brass would swell so much the ejector would slip off and I had to pry the brass out with a screw driver.

I'm trying to get my mentor to help with the ejector, he hasn't answered back on it yet.

That was a cool youtube clip Dave, pity we all couldn't live in a simple manner like that, but I do like the comforts of the modern life :D :D
