shame I stopped drinking beer, I figure that pile of shingles is about 5 or 6 cases, if it doesn't get too warm weather wise, if it heats up the case count would probably be a lot higher. But the Ice Tea jug is going to get one hell of a work not before I get done.

Ok after the small rain shower that came thru this morning which the dog took advantage of to take a bath in, I finally was able to get on the roof and sling some shingles, square count is not down below the half way mark, I figure I'm not doing too bad for and out of shape cardio reject.

Roof did claim its pint of blood again today, this is the third time I've roofed this house and this time has demanded more blood offerings then the other two times combined. I just hope it's worth the offerings.

Should'a put a new metal roof on years ago... would'a been far cheaper in the long run. Myself, I've managed to get in some shop time this weekend, plus a nice 200 mile bike ride in yesterday. Bought & hauled nursery dirt this morning for my wife's yard projects. Built a hauling rack for my propane tank so it don't roll around in the back of the truck when I go get it filled. Worked some on the new blast furnace. Then the last few hours of daylight I got in some time casting up a new point cover and derby cover pattern for a Harley motor. Right now they're just wax pattern blanks. The point cover will be a personal project I've wanted to do for some time. The Derby cover is for a friend of mine in Alaska who's a migrant here from the UK. His favorite sport is soccer, he's a fanatical diehard City Fan (Manchester Football Club), so I'm gonna surprise him with a derby cover for his Harley with his team's logo cast into it. Once his mates in England see it on facebook I'm apt to get a crap load of orders for more of them. Priming the pump, In other words... give of oneself before being worthy to receive. :-)

Come across another fella at the nursery this morning who's retired and told me he's got about 20,000 lbs of scrap steel and aluminum he's wanting to get rid of. He told me this after we chatted a bit and he learned I was a sculptor and trying to get some equipment built so I can get back into casting again. He seemed to indicate he'll give me what steel I need then sell me the aluminum at scrap price what the recyclers would give him for it. Me thinks I made a new friend today!! LOL....

Ahh yes the Compulsory blood, I had one of those the other week when I relaxed while cutting some scrap aluminum and the metal cutting band saw, it slipped and tried removing my finger, wife heard me yelp and after seeing what i did panic, demanded that I go to the hospital just over the back fence and get it stitched, I said no a band-ad will do, It was a rather full on discussion on what I was going to do, I won.

Frank, I have few lengths of 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 x6 ft square tube you can help yourself to ;)
