mine sounded about like a cat in a blender when the screw backed out and the blade started hitting the housing. Mine also has left hand threads so be careful of how much pressure you put on the screw. Actually a pretty good indicator of it coming loose is the whole blower started to vibrate, which I didn't pay a lot of attention to, I may know better next time. Anyway soon as I get some blue locktite I'm going to pull the blower back apart and put a dab on the screw so hopefully this doesn't happen again.

What was Charlies reaction on hearing the cat in the blender

Charlie was ready to get in the blender with it, he doesn't have a lot of love for the feline side of mother nature.

Shop Monster does a pretty good job of keeping the yard free of critters, just everynow and then you have the odd one that wants to pop by for a visit in the wee hours of the morning, so we put out treats for those few then give em a ride to their new home.

One of the great things about Mexico is that we can still buy cat poison in the hardware stores. (Errr—I mean rat poison.) That stuff works.

The stuff they sell up in the USA, D-con, is almost useless. I had a big rat on my boat down in Fort Lauderdale back in 1973, and over four or five nights I fed him two big rat sized boxes of D-con. It finally made him sick enough that I was able to chase him down and beat him to death with a stick.

been working on this little project the last couple of days, figured I better post something before you guys think I quit on it. I've got the barrel fitted to the receiver and hope to start on the wood tonight
