bring a shoulder pad, steel butt plates tend to hurt a little. I may take it out and shoot it tomorrow not sure yet.

took it out and shot it today, found out that Rasper won't need a pad for his shoulder if he drops by, the recoil is pretty manageable.

lets just say its not a cap gun, yes it was pretty load but I was shooting it between an big metal building and a house. nice shooting gun, hope to shoot it again this weekend, but there's no guarantee that it will happen what with the weather in OK in December.

been trying to breath some life back into this tried old gal the last couple of days.
barrel was rusty as the bottom of a garbage skow when I got it. its starting to look some better now.

single shot 12 gauge with one of the tightest full choke barrels I've every seen, and the barrels 30 inches, now the turkeys that hang out at the golf course behind the cop shoppe better look out.

What brand of shotgun is it, Dave?

When I was a kid I had a friend who had an Iver Johnson single shot 12 gauge with a 36 inch barrel. Tight patterns.

I did a lot of hunting when I was a kid and a lot of people used Iver Johnson guns back then. I never did get the point of those semi automatic shotguns. If you can't hit something with one shot with a shotgun you better take up fishing or golf.
