I hate mowing grass. If I could, I'd lay cement over the whole yard and paint it green...

you want to be sure and put in a lot of lime to keep the neighbors grass from growing on it, damn Bermuda grass will grow right over the top of it.

hoping that maybe the mail lady will bring me some of the parts that I have on order. and that my nephew fixes my trucks AC, I'm tired of hearing the shop monster bitch about being hot when he goes with me.

Ok I burned up some of the electronic stuff last week, finally got enough parts in the mail to get it back up and melting plastic, good thing is that I haven't burned up the new parts yet.

one thing I can say is the learning curve while it isn't very steep, it takes a while to get you gray matter around the quarks of the software.

Anyway here's a photo of what I keep trying to get the measurements to work right on, of course it would help if I set down and figured out how to calibrate the damn thing.

here's a photo of a part that I drew up today and printed, I got it a little thin, or had the print settings wrong, not sure which happened.

looks almost like it was made out of gauze

nozzle temp is 210 with the bed set at 55, the other items that I've printed, printed fine as far as I can tell. But I'm running into a problem with slic3r in repetier that doesn't want to send the code to the printer, not sure whats going on there so I will probably uninstall it and then start over which should fix the problem.

hear's a part that I worked up in SolidWorks and then printed out twice, the first time I had the wall thickness too thin you can see the holes in it, or that's the reason I'm using for the holes I the wall of the tube. The second time I printer it I made the wall thicker which seems to worked a lot better. I am also having a problem getting things like the lugs to print correctly, I've printed parts that I've downloaded off of the internet with the same lug setup that print fine so I have no idea about whats going wrong with the ones I draw.
The purple is some filament that I bought with the printer kit when I purchased it, the blue is a roll that I ordered the other day from an outfit in Texas which seems to print really well, the copper colored parts were printed with a sample of filament that came with the kit (they call 10 piece a sample) it seemed to print fine but I probably won't order any more from Folgers they want too much for the postage, the outfit that I purchased the Blue filament from sells a 1 kilo roll for 18.00 which includes the postage of about 5 bucks so I'll probably stick with the Titan Filament.

I found one outfit that sells filament in larger size spools like 5 and 10 pounds but their 1 K spools were like 38.50 a spool so I doubt that I can afford their large spool prices, they weren't very proud of them or they would of posted them on the site.

There is the option of making my own filament if I use a really large amount of filament, its actually pretty easy to do from what I've seen of the process on the internet.

first actual part that will be casted that I made on the printer, its a pattern for a small flask that I printed up last night, print time was just shy of 8 hours. I'm hoping that the texture of the print will give enough bite for the sand to stick in the flask, I may need to decrease some of the draft that I put on it. if this one works out I'm going to make one that's square which will make it about 6X6 and 2 inches deep.
