the barrel I received yesterday
IMG_20160920_100417.jpg
it came complete with dovetail cuts for the rings that hold the magazine tube onto the barrel, which I don't need, another one of those doing work before taking picture moments.

Anyway I milled out a small piece which I could drive into the slot at the muzzle end of the barrel and then filed it to fit the round profile of the barrel. I will eventually silver solder it into the slot so that it can't work loose and fall out.

the other slot will be covered by the forearm so I'm not to worried about doing any thing with it.

I'm pretty much done with that stock it needs a little more finish put on it, I have to make a new forearm slide for the rifle its a pump the one on it is split in half.

I would of already had the slide done but had to wait on a 16.5 drill bit so I can drill the pocket that the metal part slides into, the bit arrived in the mail this morning.

next will be bluing the metal bits and pieces

some, but a 16.5 MM no, had to order it off of ebay which was a lot cheaper then if I was to buy it local if I could find it. I'm done with the bit now so it will go in the special's drawer until needed again which with the crap I mess with may be tomorrow you never know.

How's the ticker

changed my mind on how to mate the forearm to the receiver, so we made chips out of a hunk of brass last night.
