Core box on the way.... ignore the finger prints, weather is a bit damp and cool so paint is taking it's time to dry properly

Core box is made. Tomorrow I'm off to the Blacksmith shop and when I get back I'll make a core and do a test mold just to make sure every thing pull ok, weather is a bit wet so I'll wait till it clears before I try making one

I have been fascinated by the idea of building cars since I was twelve and I read about a guy named Cramer who ran a garage in Omaha and built a car using a brand new Allison aircraft engine.

But I think the best one is this. This man designed it and built it from the ground up. Did he ever get it right? Everything about it is in perfect proportion.

It was written up in Automobile magazine years ago. Here is an excellent .pdf copy if you are interested in the entire construction process.

I got the order of the pages mixed up.

Core mold works well after a few light mods, cores didn't want to pull cleanly so just had to sand the upper edges of the split mold so there was a bit more draft, works well now. I use a old pressure cooker as a gassing tank,I have a quick release fitting in the lid I trim molds to fit and gas them with a CO2 fire extinguisher that has the firefighting fittings removed and replaced with quick release
