CAE2100 I finally got around to firing up the shaper on probably the hottest day of the year, took me a couple of hours to get things to working like they should, anyway I think that I have it running good enough to do a little job on a receiver that I have what needs a small cut back done so that I can put in an extractor correct to the original design.

Took a little video will post a link when i get it loaded so that those so interested can watch it.

Right now I'm going to try to cool out and dry off.

It was unseasonal hot the other day when it was 90, much cooler today, our summers would be on par with Florida

cool, but it would work much better with a lantern tool post and a cutting tool in it, lol. I dont think Ive ever seen a shaper run that slow through a stroke unless it's running a 24" stroke, lol

a lantern tool post won't do what I was/am wanting/need to do. i have to be able to push the tool bit inside of a receiver, which I made a holder to do that with. tried to make the cut this morning and screwed up and almost perfectly good receiver but did manage to get one or two chips off of what I needed to remove.
list of things that went wrong this morning.
1 tool bit slipped in holder.
2 holder came loose in the clapper
3 shaper knocked the vise around like a step child.
4 biggest problem was idiot running machine.
5 dogs made at me also.
