Still damn hot here, but we have been at the in-laws over the weekend, then went up at our Daughters place for two days.

looks like I may get to cast some metal pretty soon, I received an email last night that said these pattern pieces would soon be in the mail.

there is still one more piece that is needed but its so simple that I may just mill it out of a slab of aluminum.

Looks like a project. Are those for lost foam casting or are you going to use then as patterns?

there 3D printed patterns that a guy out west was kind enough to make for me, I'm hoping to make a lube/sizer like the guy on AA made.

I thought they were foam. They look really good, do they have a draft?

not unless he added it, I drew the parts up and with the thickest part being about 3/4" figured that I could pull them out of hard rammed sand pretty easy. Although the triangle shaped piece is about and 1.25 thick I think it will pull ok if I sand it down pretty slick.

I cut one pattern out of wood today, I thought about doing it in foam but I can't stand the smell the crap makes plus didn't want to buy sand to do it with, guess I could of went and got some from the river.

played in the backyard today, had some issues with the sand but that's to be expected with it sitting all winter
