metal work today involved the melting of something like 50 pounds of wheel weights and pure lead down into smallish ingots that will fit into my melter

yea I know more of the same, but at least it keeps the doors open. I tried to cast these two parts the other day in the same flask with two other bigger parts, and because I was pouring really cold to stop shrinkage these two didn't fill. So I rammed up a couple for molds and poured this a little warmer

sitting here wishing mine looked as good as the one that jammer posted the photo of. Guess I'm going to have to start thinking about the paint scheme for it and if I want racing strips or not. Seriously if I actually get it working I want to have the casted parts powder coated ( I know a guy that does it so should be able to get it for some small change).

Ok time to go make some changes that I think will help it work like its suppose too.

Yours looks great without the paint. The castings are so clean, they look like they were investment castings.
