Another new toy

I just got a Laser engraver and am learning how it works. I did do some simple cuts and they look great. I'll get some pictures and post them.

cool, Ive looked at those for a few years now and they keep coming down in price, but my issue is space, funds, and when I would use it would be the winter, it'd be smoking up the house and need fume extraction, which is no good for in the house during the winter, lol. I thought about using it with stainless or brass, just painting it and letting the laser burn the paint off of it, then etch where the paint was missing, to make stuff like shrink rules, different squares and such for drafting and patternmaking, etc.

Maybe one day Ill get one when they get super cheap, but for now, all of the reasons above are enough to keep me from wanting one or messing with one, lol. Im sure you'll find tons and tons of uses for it with your stuff.
