Swamp cooler? I never thought of that. Maybe such a thing would make it possible for me to melt more than two pots of bronze before I begin to get faint from overheating.

Nope. Won't work here. Humidity is way too high.

Casting season is tricky to define for me in SJ. The summer is hot, but worst of all, so humid, its like your swimming. Fall is great temperatures, but school starts and I can't appear to be working on foundry things too often. Winter isn't too bad if the sand doesn't freeze.. The only problem can be the heaps of snow that we get sometimes. We can have anywhere from green grass to 3 feet of snow. Then I have midterms to study for, so that takes up time. Early spring is maybe the best time.

Still I sneak in other work all over the place. Just finished welding the door and chute onto my sand muller. Hoping to turn a coupler for shafts soon. I promise pics.
