Well, things are back in motion. I've got everything squared away for a 20' x30' garage with a 9' x 30' lean to on one side. All concrete floors, 2 9' doors, and a great area for a small casting foundry. I thinned out my stuff a lot before we moved so I should be able to move around in there when it's finished.
I imagine Mark is cussing me now, I sent all my extra treasures (junk) home with him... :D
I didn't keep enough hard fire brick, but my other Friend in Ohio has about 600. I'll be up there the end on June, I'll try to pick some up just to line the furnace floor and casting pit. Pictures to follow, hopefully will be finished in about a month. Won't take that long to build, everyone is just busy, so I have to get in the schedule. At least the concrete will be well cured before anything is put on it. 8-)

good to see you getting your shop built, I need one but, it will have to wait till other things are taken care of, actually I just need some cover to keep the sun off so I can play with the hot stuff during the day outside.

did this part this morning. its a new table endplate for my mini mill that I keep plugging away on trying to make it CNC

Looks great, I can't wait to cast something. When the time comes, I don't know what I'll make until the metal is melted. INGOTS :D

:D I finally have some concrete!! It has rained almost every day for the past 2 months, really slowed things down a lot. The spot where I wanted the garage had some drainage issues so we dug a big ditch and filled it with rock to take the water over the edge, seemed to work very well. Very dry now and then there was a big rock in the way, big as a truck, so we moved the garage forward a few feet. Got it poured today, only took 2 months..?? He did a good job, now to get the guys her to built it, hopefully it won't take more than a couple weeks. I need to stop paying for the storage locker. I just have to figure out how to get my stuff up the mountain. May recruit a couple guys from church. They're good guys and I take them fishing in my little boat so they should help us out.

glad to hear that your making some head way on the garage/shop, its frustrating having toys and not being able to play with them.

Do remember that Should and doing are two completely different things.

put up a couple more pictures today.

What a mess, I'm supposed to be relaxing in early retirement bliss. I had a doctors appointment today and something isn't right. I have to have a cath done on the 12th. My Mother-in-Law passed away last night, we're going to Ohio in the morning. Had to get permission from the doc. The crew will be here on the 9th to build the garage, so we have to be back by then. Should be a fun couple weeks.
But, I do have Concrete!! :)

Sorry to hear about your Mum in-law, if she's anything like my Mother in-law she'll be missed

She was a great Mother-in-Law, always had a smile on her face and cold Coke in the fridge.

The concrete is Purdy, they put a sealer on it, made it all shiney. Hope I don't slip on it and break me arse.
