where is everybody?
Re: where is everybody?
Wanted to let everyone know I am still alive, been busier than a cat in a sandbox. Had two dead months at the end of last year but right after the 1st all hell cut loose and I have been playing catch up. Combine that with my switch to ecigs and the whole new obsession that has brought along and I havent had two moments to rub together.
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints the sinners are much more fun...

Don't bring up cats again Harry.
I'm not working and still don't have time to do anything. Trying to clean up the garage but just move junk from one side to the other. Winters been very mild but wet, I wish I could put some stuff outside. May have to break down and get a storage locker. We're getting new carpet in the house soon so I'll have to move stuff out of here into the garage and it's full. I'm about to have one big auction, sell everything and start over.

Moving sucks but you do get a fresh palette to work with so thats nice.
Been really mild here too with days in the 60s and even some 70s all year for the most part. Dread the coming cold snaps we will have over the next few months and looking at the trees all the time wishing for the leaves to come back. Trying to get as much done ahead as I can to help carry me through the bad weather.
Maybe buy a sea train and start packing it with the stuff you just dont want to give up and have it hauled to wherever you land. They make a great shed once you get it emptied.

I've been doing a few things. Garage is still a disaster. Taking a casting class in Columbus, it's pretty good but a little slow with real info. It just about finished and I'm trying to get my pattern cast. I'll have to get some pictures around and more info.
I do wish this forum was more active, I get kind of tired of the blah, blah, blah at the other one.

Re: where is everybody?
Forums seem to go through cycles. On the metal polishing forum I post on, there used to be a bunch of active polishers. Lots of pros. Now we go for several weeks sometimes without a post. Same on the metal shaping forums. Not many guys building anything now; they are mostly talking about tools and techniques. I know that a lot of guys are out of work. You would think with time on their hands they would do more metal polishing, not less. Sure beats watching television. But I guess being laid off and broke kind of knocks the stuffing out of a man.
Anyway, let's keep posting.

I agree about the blah blah blah, I also think some people over there are overly critical of others on the forum....... I've been a bit inactive as far as casting goes but I hope to get into some casting very soon.Jammer wrote:
