Harry?

Post by latzanimal »

Harry, you alright?

He hasn't been on here since the 18th of March. Anyone talked to him? Is he OK? Mid March is right around the last time I talked to him about some cnc work....

I have a shipment of good cigars coming down from the USA tomorrow. Mexican cigars are worse than no cigars. I go on the wagon when I run out until someone brings me some from the US. I can get Cuban cigars here but they are not anywhere near the quality they once were and are expensive as gold. The best cigars are made in the Dominican Republic now. The quality of Cuban cigars went way down after the collapse of the Soviet Union. All of a sudden Castro wasn't getting all that money from Russia any more. He was on his own. He began making cigars from tobacco that would have been thrown in the trash back in the glory years.

The curious thing about the US is that most products are cheaper there than they are anywhere else in the world. Japanese people come to the US from Japan to buy Japanese electronics and cameras. Same with cigars. I buy the best Dominican cigars from JR in North Carolina for 80 bucks a box. They cost over 100 in the Dominican Republic where they are made. Go figure.

probably because all the American tourist think they can get a better deal in the D.R. or any where else they go and load up on stuff that they can buy here at home.

Not yet. Been busy building drums. Still haven't found a cheap 15 hp motor for my phase converter yet. It seems all that I find are a 4 or 5 hr drive away....

I am going to try to call Harry if I remember.. it sucks to get old...

how big a converter you need, not that I got one in my backyard, there was a time when I might of been able to help with the acquisition of a motor, but since I got laid off that has passed. good luck on finding a motor
