I want a Metal Super Market!!! I did see a place in Chattanooga that has Steel cut-offs and such, I need to stop there and see what all they do have.

Started work on the X Axis bearings today, have this one up to the point of needing Snap Ring Grooves then I can take it out and do the other three, I'm hoping the bore is not tapered I did the clean up pass under power both directions and it measures within about .0003 of the bearing.

Re: Cincinnati Shaper
so people dont't think I've abandoned ship on this project here's what I've done the last couple of days.
Received in the mail the plugs for the motor cables which I had ordered with panel plugs to match the mess of cables and other assorted electrical stuff needed for this, not shown in this photo is actual stepper motors, drive controls. Breakout board, and Computer that I've on the shelf. and the Bearings for the X Axis, still need to set them up on a Rail in some Vee Blocks and deck them all to the same height. had a few hiccups in the making of the blocks but I got them done (note to self, next time just buy the damn things in the long run its cheaper) DA

Re: Cincinnati Shaper
and the Brown Truck dropped off this fan wheel which I hope to put in to the fan housing that I have the side plates cut for in the last photo, hoping it puts out enough air that I can use it on the furnace, write on it at Surplus Center says it rated at 875 CFM so we'll see.

Re: Cincinnati Shaper
thanks, I've ran up against the problem of not having the ball screws now so work has pretty much ground to a halt till they get here, I did just order the right size (I HOPE) couplers that will fit the motors and screws.Jammer wrote:That's looking really good Dave.
If its not too much trouble could you take a snap shot of how you mounted your trim router on your setup so I can get an idea of what to do, I have and old something From HF that was given to me by SVSeeker but the more I think about it the more I don't like it
