I don't think I would have the patience. Makes my neck hurt just thinking about it.

Makes my neck hurt doing it, reason I'm in the process of making a stand to support and raise the wood up to a more manageable height.

I's actually not hard to do, and I end up spacing out while doing it cause it does take some concentration to stay on track, its not something that I try to do everyday I think that's what got me in trouble when I first started. so now I do it when I feel like it, cause all I have it time.

Don't sell out, Dave. You will know when you are ready to do the gun stock.

Of course, I already know you wouldn't sell out. I've known you long enough to know that.

No I won't sell out, I will learn to checker and do it without a bunch of f$%kups in it.

as most know I've been playing with muzzle loader locks the last week or so, today I besides the cleanup, pretty much finished this one which is called a side hammer Mule Ear Lock. Don't know just exactly what I'm going to do with it but it was fun building and getting it to work.

Here's the photos of the inside of it.

The outside will look like this one after I go beat the hell out of the end of the hammer with a sledge to flatten it out

The curved surface is what I was thinkin each time I see these pictures of your progress but repressed the thought because I wouldnt want to deal with it. This is most certainly one of those fine craft things to produce and the results you have been showing demonstrate your ability to perform it, the patience you have with it is a huge part of the key. Cant do anything other than applaud the results.
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints the sinners are much more fun...

things like the hammer ear are easy, things like a wolf's head are hard, but really just take time and someone to show you how to do it, wolf's head I can't do. Jammer probably has a lot better blacksmithing skills then I do, if my granddad had of been alive when I first started pounding iron things would be different he was a blacksmith. Never got to knew the man though.

Looked a little crazy on the weather channel. Must have been a kinda of small tornado, but any size is pretty scary.
