been working on the forearm for the little guy, this isn't the one that will actually be on the rifle when I get done with it. I started making the forearm with this piece of wood then found a crack in it that I'm not too sure of weather or not it will go on ahead and crack out or not, so I'm going to make another one.

was given a piece of burl walnut that came in the mail today, so I decided to make a new forearm out of it, got a good start on the profile but can't really do anymore to it until I get a router bit to cut the barrel channel with. Which should happen tomorrow.

Received this 5 C collet chuck as payment for some cad work that I'm doing for a friend

problem is that the backing plate that came with it doesn't fit any of the three lathes that I own.

So its time to get back in the metal melting game, clued up some boards and turn out a pattern today, still have some finishing touches that need to be done like a fillet around the small diameter and paint. then its going to be time to melt up a pot of cast iron and see if I can get a good part on the first pull.

took the 22 out yesterday and put some rounds thru it, everything worked like it was suppose to, Charlie (aka Shop Monster) wanted to know when we were going on gopher safari.

Anyway its time to do the make it pretty work now, stuff like blue the barrel and receiver and sights. I've got the wood looking pretty good, and worked up a butt plate in Solidworks for the Mentor to cut out on the flowjet which will look a lot better then the one I freehanded on the 4 X 6 bandsaw.

Still putting paint on the backing plate pattern, so we're a couple of days away from see if the furnace will firing up I do know that there is oil in the oil tank from a job I did back in the winter.
